Spring is here!

My favourite part about spring is the garden coming back to life and the flowers. The kale plant was the first one to spring to life with an explosion of buds and flowers! I love having things from the garden in my home. Here, I put the kale flowers together with some rosemary and a daisy.

Happy Spring!

Hey Sharmila, Spring is not here. I mean, it is THERE (where you are) but not here where I am. Send some Spring my way, please 🙂 but that sweet bouquet made my day.

Concentrating on sending you my very warmest thoughts. Hope the world around you wakes up to a sunny spring very soon.
So far we are having a sunny, albeit cold spring. I’m hoping for some warmth in this city soon too. Brr.

I didn’t know either until this year. My kale has died over winter the last couple of years. This new Dinosaur Kale I planted last year survived! Very odd for the tiny little plant it was. Some time mid-February, it vigourously sent up this large shoot, and boom, buds since the first week of March. I tried to google search kale flowers, but boy, what shows up is nothings like this. Finally found something somewhere that looks like my flowers and says that the flowers are edible too. Looking forward to my next salad. 🙂
I like the birds too. Golden Gate Park a couple of blocks away is so alive, all a-twitter.
Thanks so much for stopping by and saying hello.

Spring isn’t here yet (there’s snow outside my window) but your beautiful bouquet totally got me into the happy mood. Happy Spring to you! 🙂
